I don't mean to thread jack but what packages are those? I might need
to know in a month.

Why don't you like Pulseaudio and Phoron (whatever that is)?

Just goggled Phonon, maybe that is why 8.10 can't play my DVDs but 8.04 can?

Last time I tried to set KDE4 to use KDE 3 menus it was still short,
as in did not go from the top to the bottom of my screen. Is it still
that way?
