using your favorite text editor add the folowing line to your
/etc/apt/sources.list file:
#kcm_touchpad ppa
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mishaaq/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

then use the usual methods to update your list and install kcmtouchpad
After installation, you will have an extra tab in the keyboard and mouse
settings.
