You do know that Karmic Alpha1 is by no means meant for productive
use? It is a very early snapshot of what will end up in the 9.10
release. If I say very early it means that it probably doesn't have
any of the features projected for that release.
The same is valid for every beta and normally advised so.

Now, what version of KDE do you use in Jaunty? If it is KDE 4.3 beta,
the same warnings as above apply.
