Almost all of my data is in a Logical partition with the identity: 
/media/disk-1/steven.  It is separate from the OS and all applications.  When 
I attempted to index with nepomuk, it did not even show as a choice to index.  
Also, I am current in Jaunty and Strigi is suspended.
