Need to connect to internet after installing 9.04

Uhm no but last time I needed Kppp I found it already installed (I 
believe that was Kubuntu 7.04); if it wasn't installed, then it was on 
the CD and I installed it through the package manager (which was 
Synaptic - I can't stand Adept) because for sure I didn't download it 
from the net (that was the very thing I was trying to set up...).
