Why use POP if Gmail has more than 7 GB storage space? Instead of POP use IMAP. In Gmail web
interface disable POP and enable IMAP.
POP will download all your messages into your computer and you are not able read your earlier mail
if you are not at that computer. Also outgoing mail will stay into that computer. By IMAP also
outgoing mail will be stored and sent folder and accessible everywhere.

Use SSL: Yes

For outgoing server you can use your ISP-s server. ISP - internet service provider. If your ISP
doesn't have SMTP server, then you can use Google's one.
