Adding app shortcuts to panels

Shoot, Nils, I don't know.  I have three limping computers, two taking naps.  
The one I am in may be an upgraded version, I just don't remember.  I did not 
realize they were different after updating and upgrading.  Still, mine had the 
choice for adding to panel on most or all, but it may have been one of the 
other computers.  My laptop only gives favorites for a choice.
