Adding app shortcuts to panels

Does that mean that some applications have the option and some don't? 
That's interesting because on both my Jaunty machines with KDE 4.2.2 I 
couldn't find an application for which there was no entry "add to 
panel". And how about the entries in "favorites" - is there an option 
"add to panel"?

OTOH, is your system a fresh install of Jaunty or is it an upgrade from 
a previous version? Mine are both upgrades from Hardy with KDE3 and I 
_suppose_ there was no config file which was reused for the new K-menu.
