Dear David,

I still must be doing something wrong. I am not very experienced in Linux. I
have never installed from an editor. Your script comes up in Kate, and I
don't know how to use it. Eberhard also says, over and over to use the
script, but I just don't understand how that works.

I have Wine 1.1.23 installed in my computer. I made sure your script is
executable by checking the appropriate box. I have downloaded and installed
e-Sword. That is the last thing I did, just moments ago. I read and tried to
understand your script. The term echo made me think that when I am attempting
to install, those red lettered items appear in Kate. I noticed a comment in
the script that said I have to have e-Sword installed, so that is when I
finally installed e-Sword, by clicking on e-Sword and following the
installation procedure. I thought that was needed to activate your script. I
am sure that now I have done something wrong, because although e-Sword is
among the programs in Wine, when I click on it, it does not open.

Have I screwed up beyond repair? Thanks for your kind help.

Steven
