When I open up konsole and type "konsole --geometry 100x100" I get a
very small konsole window on my X windows session that is 100 pixels by
100 pixels in size. Do you get any output from the command? What are
you in when you are running it? I'm assuming your are in KDE, and thus
have X installed, but are you in a konsole window, or running from some
other program?

I don't know why they suggest man X, because I don't get anything when I
type "man X" either.
