A friend of mine has a VGN-Fj1s; the cdrom drive is sometimes not
recognized. Accurate internal inspection and empirical trials (tried to
pull out the drive and insert it in again adding a final "gentle" push
with my fist) made it work again, but every now and then the problem
would show up again. Apparently the cdrom connection has come loose. I
wonder if different (yet I guess similar) vaios might me experiencing
that sort of failure.
2c,
I.
