Odd "logout" behaviour in KDE4 (Jaunty)

Probably not.  That sounds like it may be related to the fact that more than 
one KDE app refuses to properly close itself when you log out - resulting in 
the whole shutdown process stalling.  If, otoh, it's getting to a point 
where it says "Halt", but doesn't, I believe there are fixes for that (iirc, 
that happens when ACPI is a little buggy - which is a laptop vendor problem, 
not Ubuntu's).
