I am curious. Always in the past those who use Kubuntu KDE have always
recommended to use default applications. I used to use Firefox. It had a
feature that I preferred, the ability to make Google my home page with nothing
else on it. I have sense tried to become a mainstream supporter of Kubuntu
KDE everything. I found that I actually prefer Konqueror over Firefox now,
for the things I am able to do on that start page that cannot be done in a
firefox opening. To my memory, this is my first real problem with Konqueror.
It appears to be a bug or something like one. It is probably because of my
inexperienced use of the application and not even a bug.

Consequently, I appreciate the workarounds but would rather not give up on
Konqueror. If I can fix the error, and learn what I did wrong, I won't have to
give up the various extras that Konqueror provides. Thanks all, though.

If I can't fix the problem, of course I will use your workaround with
gratitude.

Steven
