Are you treating it as a JetDirect printer or an "IPP" printer?  There's 
a big difference.  I know the JetDirect mode (JetDirect mode runs on TCP 
9100) works because that's what I'm doing, and it's also how I set up my 
Dad's LaserJet 1100A (it has a TrendNet on its parallel port).  I have 
not used any Windows software whatsoever to configure the 
TrendNet--ever--only the Web interface, with Firefox 3.  Here's how they 
should look (this is on my work box, from the CUPS Web interface).

If you cannot get the JetDirect mode to work, then give the IPP (TCP 
port 631) mode a shot and let us know.
