Can't get WEP to accept KEY

Installed eeeUbuntu-8.10 on my eeePC 1000 and got Ralink wireless
working and connects to a unsecure AP, but I need to connect to a Secure AP.

I installed KDE and remove Gnome and had WEP working in Gnome, but I
must have left out a package at the install of KDE.

In kdenetwork I can check box for WEP but it does not allow me to enter
a WEP key, after I click on "Expert settings" button.

What did I not install with KDE to get WEP working ?
