Trouble Install Kubuntu 8.10 64bit with GeForce 8600 GTS Card

Both of them.  I now have 4 gigs of memory and I want to use it all, 32 bit 
kubuntu only has 2.8 gig available.  I didn't like Intrepid, it had some network 
slowdowns for me from time to time & KDE 4.2 is not from the ubuntu 
repositories.  I saw no problems with that in Jaunty Alphas 2 through 4.
