well, the nature of Linux is that you can do with it what you like. So 
there is no such thing like a "right place" to mount disk partitions.

You either stay with what you do now. Or you take a break and have ex. a 
cup of coffee. then you think about how ideally you would like to handle 
your disks.

Usually disks are mounted to directories. So for example, you could have 
a directory "my storage" with two subdirectories, "download storage" and 
"torrent storage" and these would represent your disks, that are 
currently located under /media.

But again, the ony guy to decide about this is you!

When you know what you would like to see, it will be our task to help 
you get there.
