Were Intrepid updates the reason I lost my sound on the Intrepid partition?

Well, that's not necessarily true.  Steven could have made a
configuration mistake.  Bug reports are not a support mechanism.  I'm
not saying he shouldn't file a bug, just to hold off a bit.
