New Posts are not always on top. Intrepid KDE 4.2

Using Kmail.  When I open the inbox to see what is new, I sometimes have old 
emails remaining in the box.  When new emails are added, usually they don't 
show and I have to scroll to find them.  

Is this something that I could change, so that new emails always appear as the 
first item to read when they are downloaded.  Sometimes thy are included in the 
middle of previously read emails too.  It isn't a problem that I can't live 
with, but if there is a way change, I choose to do so.
