Dear Nils,

I have made a very stupid error. Three months ago, when I got the final
component to make my new 64 bit computer, I downloaded Intrepid to install on
the new computer. I have been having a lot of trouble getting that computer
running, because there was a defect in one of the components (I am pretty
sure it is the motherboard), and still have not got it working.

In any event, while trying to fix various problems on this, my old computer, I
decided to install Intrepid on a primary partition that was not in use. Here
is where I screwed up: I attempted to install the CD I made for my new
computer. I forgot that it was a 64 bit package, and for 3 months I have
been attempting to fix a problem in my computer because the CD would not be
recognized for installation. You may have recalled a time when I kept trying
to repair what I thought were problems in my partitions. They weren't the
problem, I was. I was trying to get a 32 bit system to recognize a 64 bit
package.

I downloaded Intrepid 32 Bit an hour ago and was successful.

I keep wondering when you all will give up on me. I am so sorry for wasting
your time, at a time when I probably will need you again. Intrepid is
different. I can't seem to find out how to get the list of packages in
Adept. Adept Package Manager in Hardy contained a list to search through.
One thing I want to do right away is upgrade to KDE 4.2. I might as well
learn KDE from the more recent stable issue.

I hope things are well with you.

Steven
