Alvin,
Thanks for the pointer to solving the pubkey issue. That has helped me get
beyond the apt-get update issue.
However, the apt-get install kubuntu-desktop is still a problem and Plasma
still crashes. It seems as if it won't install the 4.4.3 packages for kde,
and only the 4.4.2 packages are installed.
I will try the dist-upgrade.
FYI, I do get a desktop, but without the taskbar, none of the windows has a
frame, only a tgest menu, with some secondary toolbars.
