Do I need both ~/.kde/ and ~/.kde4/

Please read his message again, it's not about KDE3 vs KDE4 at all...
The first versions of KDE4 shipped with Hardy installed the settings
in a .kde4/ folder tree, while the current KDE4 just uses .kde/
This means he obviously is using KDE4 and just asks about merging the
informations in those two folder trees IIUC.
