I am curious; is what you don't like about KDE 4.2.2 the way the Kmenu
works? If that is so, there are two plasmoids that accomplish that
task, one that is the new type, and one that is like the 3.5, where it
opens similarly. Because of my equipment, I had to use Jaunty early in
the Alpha stage and am used to the new method. Each time a glitch came
up during the testing stages, I sometimes would lose the new-style Kmail
button and would have to use the traditional style that was like 3.5.
Strangely enough, after I got used to the new method, I preferred the
new to the old. But if that is your reason for preferring 3.5, you
might want to take a look at it. I think it is called the traditional
Kmenu. I also read chatter about the possibility of 3.5 being retained,
but don't know if that is true.
