I only mentioned kwrite :S (<scratches head> sfx)

yes I know about that error message, but does kwrite window show up 
anyway or not? (It used to...)

if it doesn't, try kdesudo instead of sudo.

:( sorry about that, if it's the same issue you already discussed some 
time ago on the list I didn't have a clue on how to proceed and fix that...
