Code to change from read-only file system to read/write file system?

The commands I sent to you does not require write permission.
If you have the login prompt in front of you as you sent out earlier,
login with your user and password please.

Earlier, you said the following was on the screen:

Ubuntu 8.10 Yesua tty1

That's your text-only login prompt. At this point, enter your username
and password.
This does not require write permission.
Once you are logged in, type mount -l and hit enter (that's l, not a
1) and send us the output please.

If you cannot login and it says something like "Login incorrect", this
means you could not enter the username or password correctly.
