It's hard not to sound patronizing at this point, so I apologize in advance,
but you need to realize that, in fact, it's not possible that the
configuration is correct - you have something wrong.  Now, not using
Thunderbird I can't tell you where the configurations are stored, but the
best thing you can do, is find the files where the data is kept, and
compare them (hoping that they're actually in clear text...).
