You will probably have to load this program but it is excellent.

sudo apt-get install hwinfo


Then

hwinfo -h

to learn the options.  (lots of them)  or just hwinfo  alone which will show 
you lots of info about your hardware.  (too much all at once)

For instance, to learn about your graphics card:

hwinfo --gfxcard
