brother printer dcp-130c driver install for kubuntu 8.04

Anyone,
 
Has anybody hook up a borther printer "all in one dcp-130c" to work on there Kubuntu o/s
as i have a dual boot system with windows xp pro sp3 and Kubuntu, and has always worked
on my xp pro system and just recently installed the kubuntu, but no driver was regonized
so I downloaded from brother solutions the driver and followed to  instructions for installing
 
I ran the install for the sane-uitils.deb and reinstall the printer.deb but now says under Documant Print status/view/show printer status in this window shows"-DCP 130c printer dcp 130c may not be connected", but is????????????????
 
can any one help  please
