Plugin-Problems on amd64 after last update of libxm2

After removing/downgrading libxml2 and libxml2-dev to older version via aptitude, the ica-client
works fine.
But now adept_notifier always wants to update the lib. How do I cancel the upgrade of libxml2
and install all other updates ?
