LOL. How many people actually use Blender?
I don't know vi, don't want to, but I was once an Emacs guru, and since the
subject of vi vs emacs can cause so many flame wars, I have to assume that
the capabilities are at least similar. But I'm _never_ going back to
Emacs - these _editors_ are just that: editors. All the other things they
can do are just enormous time-wasters that suck you in. Why would I want
to turn vi or emacs into an IDE? I have eclipse for that. Why do I need
syntax highlighting? Even kate can do that. Why would I want vi to be my
email editor? We have mail programs. You name a wonderful feature I can
get from vi, and I bet I have another, more intuitive, way to do it.
I'd get rid of vim-tiny if there weren't insane dependencies on it...
