Firefox 3.0.3 not working

Before going there, you might open a terminal and see, what
"sudo firefox" shows.

In any case "reinstall whole system and hoping, that next
time it will not happen." is not a viable option, imho.

Generally in Linux it is far more preferable to fix your problem before 
going for the "windowisch problem solution strategy".

And, after all and as far as I can see, firefox works excellently on 
x/k/ubuntu, (nearly) anywhere.
