Column Layout persistance

Is this a common problem? in all versions of KDE 4.x (most lately 4.1.2 on 
8.10RC) columns width and layouts do not stay saved in various apps. The one I 
notice it the most in is Aggregator, where columns I've hidden (e.g the feed 
title) keep reappearing and the widths keep increasing on me past the screen 
width, giving rise to a horizontal scroll bar - most annoying.
