If there is an eee ubuntu list where I should have posted this, please
redirect me, but I know the issue has been dealt with here before.

I am being driven nuts by the tap to click feature. I have installed
gsynaptics, and made the following changes to /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier	"Synaptics Touchpad"
	Driver "synaptics"
	Option "SendCoreEvents"	"true"
	Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
	Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
	Option "HorizEdgeScroll"	"0"
	Option "SHMConfig" "true"
	Option "MaxTapTime" "0"
	Option "MaxTapMove" "0"
EndSection

The last three lines being added to enable the synaptics app, and turn
it off universally via xorg.conf. Neither has seemed to work. I
suspect that the problem is that X is no longer controlling the X
configuration in *ubuntu.

Any and all helo and suggestions will be appreciated.
