yes this unfortunately happens a lot, and people tend to blame the
browser rather than the website. here in my country, most arabic
websites are not Unicode, but use some weird encoding, and worst still,
you'll find front page's signature in most of their headers! and of
course, Firefox will give you a page loaded with gibberish unless you
modify the preferences and change the encoding used for the website. but
dear IE uses the correct encoding, and they geniusly suggest straight
away that IE is smarter in rendering. very annoying indeed.
