Thanks for the answer it's more then clear now, I think. I have another question. Do you know what's the debian plan with lenny as it has kde3.5.9 and sid is I think 3.5.10.

Also what about the kde team are they going to solve bugs in kde3 in the future and for how long?

The reason I'm asking so much is because I prefer to have the environment I know is working and smoothly move to kde4 somewhen.
