8.10b - first impression and questions

Hello
May I add my feelings?
8.04 (and beta 8.10) may be improvements for some but not for me.
My audio and my webcam are no longer recognised in my Medion MD 96640 laptop
but do work in my desktop - although somewhat older) and do not work in the
new kernel. This is not only the case with Ubuntu but also with Linux Mint
and Debian 5.0 Lenny.
Wireless is impossible, even with the Windows drivers (via ndiswrapper).
An external usb (Belkin) adapter works now and then.

Upgrading is not always an improvement.

I did submit the bug (is it a bug?) but:no solution up till now.
Yes, solution: stick with 7.10 wherin everything works.

By the way: the same is true for Kubuntu and KDE
