Of course they will.  Even better if you do that yourself.

But that's not the way things work.  Report bugs to Ubuntu.  If you know
enough, link them to upstream, but _always_ report bugs to Ubuntu.  If you
don't report them to Ubuntu, they'll get fixed eventually, but if you want
bugs fixed in time for Intrepid, you need them in Launchpad.  Kubuntu devs
don't have time to be looking for every single bug reported upstream, they
need to know what are real problems for _our_ users, now.
