Not Restoring applications to multiple desktops

Hello:
This request is second - hand: My business partner is using ver 8.04
In System Settings -> Advanced -> Session Manager he has
the  "Restore Previous Session" Option checked. When he restarts
KDE, all applications he had open are restored, but they are all restored
to desktop 1, instead of being distributed to the original desktops
that were occupied.

I'm using ver 7.10 and don't have this problem.
Any suggestions?
