Kubuntu Hardy won't play .bin movie?

Hi Jack,

It didn't work.  I could see that it was trying, however what looked 
like a skin for the player briefly came and went, but the program never 
opened.  There are a lot of other vlc packages; I just installed the vlc 
player. are there other required dependencies to make it work?  Thanks 
for the prompt help, friend.

You don't happen to be related to Fennel and Phylis Wallen, rip.  
Phyllis was a master copper enamelist and my best friend for about 15 years.
