Dear Bruce,

Someone maid me paranoid a few years ago. They had something like
that. Like you, I trusted them and made the effort to learn a password
that I did not have to think about when I typed it in. I still have
possession of that password, even though I rarely use it. A new friend
that I trusted told me it wasn't necessary. Recently people have been
warning me again, so I thought about how it was in Feisty. there were
choices like Terminal, Shell, and Root Shell. When I needed to be in
Root, I would open that Shell or Terminal, if I have the terminology right.

I have an 8 digit password that I use for places like Ebay and Kubuntu
forum and the like that is a lot easier, however, due to my short finger
I screw up about 20% of the time with that. The only one that doesn't
cause me problems is 'em', my grandbaby's name. Maybe GOD is protecting
me, because I don't think I have had an intruder yet. Nonetheless, it
is nice although not safe, because when I login in the morning I just
type in em and when I enter Root, I type in em. Fast. No mistakes.
And I agree, stupid.

But since I never have any visitors, I don't ever have anyone looking
over my shoulder. So I thought it safe to enter a Root Shell with no
password, if my Login password is tough. Although I would prefer it the
way I remember in Feisty, I will do it your way. That at least gives me
some security, by having the tough password at login. Thanks for your
concern, my friend.

Are you having as much fun as I, using this forum? I just love it.

Cheers! Ciao Bello, and Cordially,

Steven BTW, I found out that Bello means
handsome. It fits you all.
