I am guessing but it sounds like you are still on Gutsy Gibbon. You may
need to upgrade to Hardy Heron. Gutsy did not embrace FF 3.x. That came
with Hardy.
Issue the command:
cat /etc/lsb-release
and see what it says. If it says Gutsy, you need to upgrade. If it days
Hardy or Intrepid, other problems need to be addressed.
