I get all my mail lists via knode and gmane, if they're available on
gmane. I find it much nicer for lists - most of knode's outstanding
(from 3.5) issues are with cross-posting, which doesn't usually happen
with mail-lists anyway. It's only ugly if I want to CC an individual -
which I mostly think is evil and rarely try (knode will open a reply
window _and_ spawn a kmail reply window - so it doesn't just send a copy
of the message via either smtp or kmail). Come to think of it, I should
open a bug on that.

There is a new, very annoying, issue with KDE4 - knode doesn't wrap the
lines it sends and I have to go through and manually add newlines (just
where knode actually _displays_ a newline). So if you're interested in
using knode for mail lists, you might want to wait for the fix for that.

I remember now - NoOp and I were discussing synaptic's source-list
management, and seeing completely different options with the same version
of synaptic, so I eventually posted a screenshot of what I had. It
would probably have been ubuntu-users, which
I'd expect to have the same options.

In any case, for those tempted to post images to any list that permits
it - go for maximum compression. If you're looking for support, you
just want legibility, it doesn't need to look good!
