Instead of removing something to make a menu shorter I find it better to
use the menu editor to create groups and group some programs by what
they do in order to get them off the main menu. Create a group called
"Browsers" in the "Internet" group and move all the web browsers into
that group for instance. In this way _all_ the browsers you might have
installed are in one menu not scattered among all the other stuff in
your "Internet" group.. Do the same for all your mail programs and so on.
I've never used Kmail so I can't help you there.
_Thunderbird:_
Mouse clicks : Edit > Preferences > Display > Formatting > Fonts
Here you can set font sizes. Mine is set to 18 for the same reason you
want to set your larger. E-mails received in an HTML format may override
any settings you have for that e-mail.
_Firefox:_
Mouse clicks : Edit > Preferences > Content > Advanced
Here you can set a minimum font size. Here again, mine is set to 18.
This setting may not work on EVERY web page because the web page
designer has some control over fonts and sizes. If they specify
something different in their web page it may override any setting you
have made while your viewing the page.
