Kubuntu 8.10 (ready or not ? )

But Ubuntu 8.04 is LTS.  That probably means that everything but the KDE stuff 
will be supported for Kubuntu 8.04 as well.

Other than security updates, what difference does it make whether your version 
is "supported" as long as it still works?  The only Windows computer I still 
have runs Win98.
