Thumb drive ext2 slow write speed

Do you have any particular reason for formatting as ext2? USB flash
drives are very good for using across multiple computers, therefore I
format as FAT 32 so that the occasional Windows machine will recognize
it. I have the same drive, by the way, though I am not sure what speed
it runs at.
