Adept search not reflecting apt-cache search

Do you use Adept 3 in Intrepid? I do and I don't know why they use
that version, it's almost useless, the old Adept in Hardy did at lest
work. I started to use aptitude in Intrepid, it's good when you
learned how to use it.
