Why, the computer lost the router, or the router lost the net?

I don't know if it's normal but in my case is is more than occasional, often
many times a week. (Linksys WAG54GS)

If I can call the router (192.168.1.1) I try first to just tell it to
disconnect and reconnect, that sometimes works and is faster than rebooting
it.
I may also tell it to reset (because it's on another floor than my computer).
It also happens that I must reset with the switch.

Next time that happens check to see if you can *really* call the router, the
info in 'Settings' may be stale.

Just the internet or the router?

No idea, I can only tell that a router reset is enough in the vast majority of
cases (but I'm not running Gusty). See how often this occurs to you.

Hope someone else can help, or perhaps suggest a simple way to restart the
relevant service without having to reboot.

Good luck Perry
