My logs are filling up with entries like the following:
> May 8 03:17:01 localhost CRON[14556]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_smbpass.so)
> May 8 03:17:01 localhost CRON[14556]: PAM [error: /lib/security/pam_smbpass.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
> May 8 03:17:01 localhost CRON[14556]: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_smbpass.so
> May 8 04:02:01 localhost CRON[22857]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_smbpass.so)
> May 8 04:02:02 localhost CRON[22857]: PAM [error: /lib/security/pam_smbpass.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
> May 8 04:02:02 localhost CRON[22857]: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_smbpass.so
It looks like PAM is trying to use Samba... yet I don't have Samba
installed. How do I get rid of these entries?
