I would hope that they wouldn't release hardy until this is resolved,
otherwise a lot of people are going to be unhappy. Canonical do seem to be
pretty good about hiding all this kind of thing from users (actually, my
original hope when I started on this yesterday was that it would all just
work if I installed the restricted drivers, but it didn't).
Also, I think I read somewhere yesterday that in fact there's a real linux
driver for the RTL8187b in the kernel now, so it might be that I won't have
to use ndiswrapper in hardy anyway.
Anyway, thanks for pointing out that there's an issue with hardy at the moment.
