Missing Open Application buttons on Taskbar

Missing Open Application buttons on Taskbar

I recently installed the KDE 4.0.1 desktop, and I'm running it parallel with KDE 3.

Since the install, my (4) taskbar desktop buttons have slid to the far left along
with the Clock, right next to the Application launcher.  I guess that’s OK, but I
can no longer see open applications.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I tried to post this on the forums in hopes this might be a common problem.  But
so far, no one has responded/replied.
